Holding the Cup

Come with me on this journey to retain the Rugby
World Cup. My first match is the semi finals at Cardiff.
This could be a nerve wracking start as I was at Cardiff in 2007
when the All Blacks lost to France in the semi final.

Scotland the brave?

Well they always put us Scots supporters through it and did their level best not to beat Samoa.  Newcastle was like Edinburgh though with pockets of support for Samoa.  Sitting behind me were 2 Aussies, 1 Scot & 2 English - no punchline but I suspect there should be!  The fanzone was closed because too many people were already in it so we seem to really be embracing the tournament which is adding to the fun.  My trip to Leeds for Scotland v USA was an interesting day. Car broke down on motorway getting there (not of course on the way back!) so I had a lovely picnic in the middle of nowhere by the highest motorway in England!  Breakdown man managed to get us back having only missed about 20 minutes of the match but car cost $2300 to repair - ouch!  Officially the most expensive rugby match I have ever not attended.  My friend who was with me then managed to get given 2 free tickets to the England v. Uruguay match.  As someone at work said displaced karma - thanks not making me feel any better!  Mind you who would want to go and watch England when you can be put through the emotional wringer watching Scotland.  Looking forward to Cardiff this weekend - I think we will get the best quarter finals and hopefully no upsets - see you soon Lois!
