Holding the Cup

Come with me on this journey to retain the Rugby
World Cup. My first match is the semi finals at Cardiff.
This could be a nerve wracking start as I was at Cardiff in 2007
when the All Blacks lost to France in the semi final.

Scotland v Japan in "The Shed"

Hi everyone Clare here.  Thought I should report back on the view of RWC from over here and the match yesterday. Gloucester a real rugby heartland and The Shed is their standing terrace - they tried to put seats in but the fans said no thanks or words to that effect!  Gloucester team shirt is red and white stripes so you can guess who they were supporting.  Lots of Scots fans there though too so fantastic atmosphere and plenty of whisky being offered round.  Weather held up but not quite as nice as Lois at the beach in Fiji! Scotland will have to improve drastically if they are to get past the quarter finals but stranger things have happened.  Rugby has just about pushed football off the front pages with the usual obsession with the England team but less "we are going to win we just have to turn up" than we normally get which is refreshing.  Looking forward to meeting up with Lois in Cardiff expecting a great match - AB v France/Ireland?!  Either way should be a cracker.  Scotland v USA next up for me on Sunday in Leeds - pure dead brilliant as my new Glaswegian pal might say.  Enjoy Namibia match later  - expecting a rout!
