Holding the Cup
Come with me on this journey to retain the Rugby
World Cup. My first match is the semi finals at Cardiff.
This could be a nerve wracking start as I was at Cardiff in 2007
when the All Blacks lost to France in the semi final.

Just 20 days to go
Hi Everyone. It just 20 days until the start of the Rugby World Cup in England. I like you will be watching the pool games from New Zealand hoping that the All Blacks finish at the top of their pool and glide through into the Quarter Finals. I leave Auckland on the 13th October and after an overnight stay in London I head to Wales and the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Clare Dickinson is joining me for the two quarter final matches in Cardiff. Although Clare lives in England she claims Scotland as her team as she was born in Glasgow and doesn't respect the English team at all. In Cardiff we have a match on Saturday evening and one on Sunday afternoon. I then have a couple of days free in Cardiff before the tour heads back to London. I am quite looking forward to having some time in Cardiff. The first time I went to Cardiff was in 1969 when it was quite a grim place with the Irish Republican Army in full flight and causing havoc with bombings and road closures. I went again in 2007 and watch the All Blacks being defeated by France and exiting the world cup. I am hoping for a much more successful result this year.
